Detective Comics Batman Sketch Cover by Joe Kubert
For an artist that ended up being known for war and adventure comics, Joe Kubert could certainly draw Batman with gravitas.
As usual, the scan of this piece came from somewhere on the web and it wasn’t particularly large. So I ran it through the scaling app I use which is much better than older apps or the built-in functions in Photoshop. But even the previous scaling methods yielded good results with Kubert’s drawings. With his bold, direct brush and line work, his art was always virtually bulletproof from poor production methods.
