Detective Comics No. 400 Cover by Neal Adams
Certainly one of the more-interesting characters in the Batman Family is Kirk Langstrom as the Man-Bat.
But it would take a few years. He debuted in this issue, cover dated June 1970. While the interior art by Neal Adams & Dick Giordano is its usual good stuff, I never really liked Frank Robbins as a writer on Batman. This story comes off as unevenly paced and little more than a preamble. Later in the 70s, Langstrom would be shown as a younger man and his wife Francine would join the cast. Art by Michael Golden and Marshall Rogers is still memorable now.
