Ghostly Haunts No. 52 Cover by Pat Boyette
Just a demon going about his evil day accompanied by his pet bat Flappy. A wonderful painting by Pat Boyette on this issue of Ghostly Haunts.
Unfortunately, the original art appears to have faded over the years. By bumping up the saturation and colour density in Photoshop much of the original colour has been recovered, but it’s impossible to tell if it’s the way it looked at the time it was created. The published cover isn’t a reliable comparison either, as Charlton’s colour separations were often wildly different than the original art. Check out Boyette’s series of covers for Korg 70,000 BC as proof of that.
Restoration by me.
