I’m not sure I’m down with a rage monster dressed up as Santa and looking as pleased as punch with a kid on his lap, but it was a different time, I guess.
In the original art, Doctor Strange uses one hand to lift that glass ball to the tree, but on the published cover he needs to use two. Was the Dread Dormammu an incredible lightweight that this power-challenged Sorcerer Supreme could take him out? Or was that Christmas decoration made of the same metal as Mjolnir? And Nick Fury in a fetish onesie chomping on a cigar wouldn’t have been out of place in a mid-70s living room, right?
We all need some more rum and nog.
