Scary Tales No. 1 Cover by Joe Staton
Scary Tales was part of a new wave of Charlton horror anthology comics in 1974, and it was hosted by Countess Von Bludd.
The new books were part of the last truly vital period of the company with young talent combining with seasoned professionals.
Joe Staton designed the Countess and painted the cover to No. 1. With a good scan of the original art I’m able to make a brighter, clearer version of the cover.

As published.
