Secrets of Haunted House No. 5 Cover by Bernie Wrightson
By the 1973 date in Wrightson’s signature, I’m guessing this simple image sat in DC’s inventory for the better part of three years while it waited to be used.
It is a simple image. A simple composition, but as usual Wrightson’s drawing chops turn it into a compelling minor masterpiece. And with a scan that captures the finer details in the line work we can appreciate it all the more.
