Showcase Nos. 101–103 Covers with Hawkman by Joe Kubert

December 9, 2023|In Comics, DC

Joe Kubert started in comics as an adolescent in the late 1930s. His first Hawkman story was in 1944. In 1961, he and Gardner Fox reimagined the character for the Silver Age.

By 1978, Kubert was nearly legendary while still being a fresh and vibrant creator. While Al Milgrom and Murphy Anderson drew this three-issue Jack C Harris-written story featuring Hawkman, Hawkgirl and Adam Strange, Kubert provided the covers.

New colour by me on this trilogy of covers.
