Star Wars Weekly No. 7 Cover by Kane & DeZuniga
In 1977, Star Wars was a phenomenon like no other, and Marvel on both sides of the Atlantic had the rights to produce comics that readers ate up by the millions.
In North America, it was a monthly comic, but over in the UK it came out as a weekly, the typical format in that market. Issues produced for the monthly format were divided up into shorter chapters, and other Marvel features were added to fill out the page count.
It meant that more covers were needed, and we have a dynamic one here pencilled by Gil Kane and inked by Tony DeZuniga.
