Supergirl Covers by Bob Oksner
I have to say I don’t know much about the life and career of Bob Oksner, but I’m not the first person to say “Why the heck wasn’t he at the forefront of DC’s artists during his time?”
He had all-around solid skills, and worked in a variety of styles. The Supergirl covers shown here display a great facility for drawing beautiful women. This guy could have been DC’s John Romita Sr. But as it was, he always seemed to fly under the radar. Kind of like the way every artist I know is blown away by José Luis García-López, but he remained more of an artist’s artist instead of the best-selling phenomenon that was his due.
Here are three fun Supergirl covers illustrated by Oksner with new colour by me.

Wow! You are amazing! I love your colouring so much! It enhances the art and doesn’t take away from it as some modern colourists do. And all the corrections. If only comics could have had this technology back then. Is there any way you could recolour Supergirl volume 2 #13, and 19, 21 (by the amazing Eduardo Barreto) or other Adventure Comics featuring Supergirl’s many costumes?

Whether I can do a cover or not mostly depends on whether I can find a good scan of the original lineart. I’ll look through my files to see if I have the issues you mentioned.
