Superman The Secret Years No. 2 Cover by Frank Miller
This time we have another of Frank Miller’s evocative covers for Superman The Secret Years.
In looking at the black & white art for a while, I was reminded of Superman’s earliest adventures, where in the late 1930s he was a tougher, unpolished social crusader. So Superman in his bright colours would stand out against a dirty and dark depressed setting like the circus characters he was modelled on. A world of film noir.
