Terry and the Pirates Cover by Jim Keefe
While the comic strip Terry and the Pirates by Milton Caniff is fading from the memory of the general population, it remains an epitome of the American adventure comic strip and a showcase for Caniff’s skills as a storyteller.
He left the strip after the Second World War to create Steve Canyon. His previous strip continued with other creators until 1973.
Noted Flash Gordon and Sally Forth illustrator Jim Keefe was called on by the publishers of The Missing Years to recapture some of that classic adventure strip magic on the cover of No. 45.
