All the covers from Andru & Esposito’s run on The Flash were well designed and reflected a sharp change from the early 60s. Love the dynamism and realism here.
While editor Julius Schwartz approved the cover design, I’m guessing it made him a little nervous to not have the Flash in costume front and centre. So he’s on the poster in the background, and in addition to the book’s logo, “The Flash” is in three places on the cover text.
