1993 brought the Arnold Schwarzenegger action-comedy The Last Action Hero to the summer viewing season. Plans were made to have the movie adapted into comic book form at Topps, and Jerome K Moore was attached as the artist.
However, it became clear early on that the movie was tanking at the box office and the comic was scrapped, but not before some pieces of art were created. The cover for No. 1 was quite nice and I was curious to colour and package it to see what might have been.

Colour version.
Topps trade dress re-created and a new version of the movie’s logo applied.
