Valley of the Dinosaurs No. 1 Harvey Classics Cover by Scott Jeralds
In 1993, Jurassic Park was the biggest thing in American movies, and Harvey Comics acquired reprint rights to Hanna-Barbera’s Valley of the Dinosaurs, originally published by Charlton Comics. I’m guessing they did that to generate some dino dollars of their own.
The stories reprinted came from these issues, and all were by Fred Himes:
The Jade Skull – No. 2
Strange Marauders – No. 2
The Incredible Mud Demon – No. 9
The Great Stone Robbery – No. 9
Bride Battle – No. 9
Colour and trade dress by me.

As published.

The cover’s dinosaurs were copied from page 10 of Charlton issue No. 9’s “The Mud Demon.”

Art extracted from the published cover and made production ready.

New colour version.

Re-created and new trade dress added.
